Weekend for Women

Offer yourself the gift of time out. We create the conditions of time, space and energy for women to explore together our life transitions in a safe space. We will sit in circle, listen and tell stories, move our bodies in simple practice, reflect in silence and process our learnings, benefitting from our collective wisdom and shared experience. 

 

You may be facing a transition in life, such as menarche, motherhood, menopause, eldership, children leaving home, midlife, illness, relationship or career changes. You may be finding life challenging, or you may just wish to explore the psychological and emotional impact of change and what really matters to you. Time Out For Transitions helps you to access the support and resources you need. 

 

  • This is for all those who are curious to explore life transitions

  • We use a process of personal enquiry as a framework for all our work. We don’t believe in one size fits all and every person experiences challenges in their unique way.

  • Our approach is based on different ways of knowing beyond a cognitive, rational approach. We use body and voice work, story, and imaginative process work, as ways to access self-understanding.

  • We sit in circle and offer group processes that enable us to be witnessed and reclaim our own stories. Stories that have often been disowned or forgotten. We learn together and connect with one another, providing support and compassion. 

 

Principles of our work

In our programmes we use a powerful combination of stories and myths (as maps to the unconscious), physical practices and meditation (drawing on yoga and qi gong), time in nature, psychological processes (such as shadow work, archetypes, and dreamwork) and creativity. We enquire into our inner landscape to find new possibilities and insights. These processes can help to calm some of the mental noise and access other, sometimes deeper, parts of ourselves. 

 

Individual Counselling

Each participant also has a one-to-one counselling session to prepare for the weekend.

Individual sessions are important spaces to help uncover and explore any issues we face and want to work on. They can also provide ongoing structure and support after a workshop or programme if you choose to continue.

Accommodation and food: £300

Weekend Retreat (including one individual counselling session): £150

Practicalities 

Simple bedrooms, single occupancy but opportunity to share.

Healthy vegetarian meals provided to be eaten together, family style.
